Key Features & Specifications

Some of the pump’s key features include:

  • LED display showing current and set tyre pressure
  • Automatic stop when the set pressure is reached
  • Option to display tyre pressure in different units (PSI, BAR, kPa, kg/cm²)
  • Built-in lithium battery

How It Works

The SCK619-3 Air Pump has one simple purpose: pumping up tyres, and it does the job very well.

First, set the tyre pressure on the device using the up and down arrows on the display. Once the pressure is set, connect the pump to the tyre and press the brown button on top of the device to start. On a motorcycle tyre at full battery power, the pump increased pressure by roughly 1 psi every two seconds in 0.5 psi increments. Once the target pressure was reached, the pump switched off automatically.

Charging is simple via the included USB adapter and the barrel connector on top of the device. A full charge took around six hours.

Battery life is very good, with the pump able to top up several car and motorcycle tyres on a single charge. Unlike other lead-acid portable pumps I’ve used, the SCK619-3’s internal lithium battery maintains strong performance throughout the charge without noticeably slowing down as the battery drains.

Thanks to the included nozzles, the pump can also inflate household items such as footballs or even a giant pink flamingo pool toy. A small but welcome feature is the lever-style action on the Schrader valve, which is far more convenient than the twist-on style found on similar pumps.

The key components include:

  • Lithium battery, advertised as 7.4V 1500mAh, made up of 2x 18650 cells in series
  • Brushed DC motor
  • Reduction gearbox and piston pump
  • Electronic pressure sensor
  • Digital controller and LCD screen

The design of the SCK619-3 Air Pump is straightforward but well thought out, built to a high-quality standard. As the pump lacks active cooling, it’s important to respect its duty cycle and allow it to cool for a few minutes between uses.

Who Makes It

The SCK619-3 Air Pump is often sold under various names by different online retailers. While the box itself is unbranded, the pump lists the manufacturer as Yiwi Rongzhi Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd, located at No. 42, Baaima Road, Fotang Town, Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, China.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the SCK619-3 is an excellent value portable air pump that performs reliably. Its key selling points are the built-in lithium battery, which works independently of a power source, and the LCD pressure gauge.

While the pump performs well, it faces stiff competition from similar portable models that are more compact and offer extra features such as built-in flashlights, USB charging, and the ability to act as a jump starter.

What’s Hot

  • One of the cheapest air pumps on the market
  • Built-in lithium battery with a practical battery life
  • Accurate pressure gauge with multiple units of measurement
  • Sturdy and reliable construction

What’s Not

  • A USB-C charging option would be nice to avoid a special adapter
  • Clunky to use and not very compact compared to other models
  • Poor English on the box and manual.

FAQ

Q: How loud is the pump when in use?
A: The pump is noticeably audible, similar to other small portable inflators, but not uncomfortably loud for short sessions.

A: The pump will use standard Schrader valve adapters however the main inflator hose is not removable or replaceable.
Q: How accurate is the pressure reading?
A: The LED display provides readings in multiple units (PSI, BAR, kPa, kg/cm²), suitable for everyday tyre maintenance. The unit we received was accurate to within 1psi of another meter we compared it with.

A: No, the pump can only increase the air pressure and does not have the functionality to deflate the tyre if you wish to lower the air pressure.
