For this review I picked it up the hair trimmer on Lazada (TH) for 317 baht (≈ USD $9) under the search term ‘waterproof hair trimmer’. Many different brands of trimmers exist around the ~USD$10 mark from less common names.
Within a few days the trimmer arrived, the gold and black gives a premium feel while still clearly displaying the Predyee brand and RFCD-9088-LB model number. A welcome change from items arriving in generic cardboard boxes.
On the back of the box we get good specifications table which outlines the main details of the trimmer.

Build & First Impressions

The RFCD-9088 handled 2-3 day beard growth with ease and doesn’t clog on dry hair. It cuts cleanly, without pulling hair, and feels powerful for its size. The guards clip in securely, though they are basic plastic. Noise and vibration are typical for a small trimmer.
For trimming more intimate areas, the trimmer is precise, easy to maneuver and has a white LED light to see where you are aiming.
Battery & Charging
The unit arrived with a fully charged battery. USB-C charging is very convenient compared to other shavers that have propitiatory plugs or require an AC wall charger. The motor maintains full power until the battery is almost empty, with no noticeable slowdown.
Cleaning & Waterproof Concerns
Despite the IPX7 rating, water exposure is risky: the USB port is uncovered, and there are small gaps around buttons and the LED. There’s no included oil and a required maintenance item for his shaver.
